If MusicXML would work, then I believe that it must be a business decision by both companies (and by others). I say "What's fair is fair!" and wonder why Sibelius and Finale don't both support some exchange format that is better than MIDI. ETF format from Finale, though MusicXML (as you say) is suggested in the manual as the better alternative yet Sibelius does not seem to permit me to export in either of those formats (please! correct me if I am wrong). ![]() Suggestion: Have Mozilla (or some other open-source outfit) create a super product that can handle all the other music-digitizing formats.Īs that is not likely to be available soon, I am still looking for ways to do it. IMHO!: It is time for Finale and Sibelius to make such file conversions easier than they seem by corporate agreement to have done to date. We should not have to use you (should you offer such a service free) or the kindness of any other intermediary in order for us to work together efficiently.
